Arts Grants
The ACT Arts Fund is one of the main ways the ACT Government provides direct support to the arts. Each year, applications are invited from all individuals, groups and organisations wishing to undertake arts projects and activities in any artform that develop or provide access to the arts in the ACT.
The ACT Arts Fund is open to all members of the ACT community and focuses on projects that develop artists - moving artists into new stages of their careers.
There are a number of ways the community can access funding. Fund categories include Project, Communities Working With Artists, Program and Key Arts Organisation Funding, as well as the ACT Creative Arts Fellowship, Out of Round Funding, Start-Up Grants for Young Artists and the ACT Book of the Year Award.
Eligibility
Applicants need to be a resident of the ACT. Where applicants do not reside in the ACT, their application must strongly demonstrate an ACT-based arts practice or an activity that would otherwise not be available in the ACT.
Applicants must also be Australian citizens, have permanent resident status in Australia, or, if not a permanent resident, be on a temporary Australian VISA which expires no less than two years from the date of application.
Opening and Closing Dates
The 2013 ACT Arts Fund will open on Tuesday 10 April 2012 and will close at midnight on Monday 21 May 2012 for applications to the Project Funding, Communities Working With Artists Funding, Program Funding, the ACT Creative Arts Fellowship and the ACT Book of the Year categories.
