ScreenACT Seeks Emerging Creatives for Talent Camp
When: 18-22 September 2017
Where: Australian Film, Television and Radio School, Sydney NSW
ScreenACT is looking for emerging content creators and storytellers from diverse backgrounds to apply for Talent Camp, a new program in partnership with the Australian Film Television & Radio School (AFTRS) and Screen Australia.
Responding to audience demand for rich and engaging stories and the industry’s concern about the lack of diversity in the Australian screen sector, Talent Camp provides an opportunity for new talent, new perspectives and new voices that reflect the richness and depth of contemporary Australian society.
The 5-day Talent Camp will focus on story development, screen producing and career pathways, and will be held in Sydney between 18-22 September 2017. To apply applicants need to demonstrate a passion for storytelling, have something original to say and are interested in exploring a career in screen media. Applicants will have produced work across any creative platform, for example, screen, theatre, spoken word, podcasting, photography, and YouTube.
ScreenACT has partnered with AFTRS to offer two emerging screen storytellers from the ACT an opportunity to participate. Funding will also be made available to the successful applicants to help offset travel and accommodation costs associated with attending the workshop.
