Young performers from across Canberra will come together at the Tuggeranong Arts Centre for A Vigil for the Moon, a concert reflecting on the themes of loss, imprisonment, redemption and hope that resonate through the current exhibition Another Day in Paradise.

The performance will feature poignant and moving pieces from Woden Valley Youth Choir’s Australis Voices and Spectra Vocal Ensemble, cellist Ariel Chou accompanied by Ruth Giddy, dancers from Fresh Funk and poetry readings from Lake Tuggeranong College students.

The event’s title is taken from Omar bin Musa’s poem The Moon, dedicated to Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran and published in his book Millefiori.
