Experience the passion, drama, and excitement of opera presented live on stage with the Canberra Symphony Orchestra for one night only! Prepare to cry, laugh, and fall in love over and over again as Australia’s finest young singers from Pacific Opera perform arias and directed scenes from operas such as Verdi’s Rigoletto and Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin. This beautiful program is conducted by Simon Kenway and guarantees you a very special Saturday night. It’s an opera-tunity you can’t miss!
This year's performance will feature five of Australia’s finest young singers; three sopranos, a tenor, and a bass-baritone. These talented performers are all part of the Pacific Opera Young Artist program.
Pacific Opera is a non-profit arts organisation that exists to provide training and performance opportunities to the young stars of tomorrow's opera stage, both within Australia and across the world.
Led by artistic director Simon Kenway, Pacific Opera's young artists enjoy an annual program of rigorous training in musical, professional and industry skills to further develop them into successful operatic artists.
