Exhibitions put Treatment of Animals in the Spotlight

Two new exhibitions, Specimens by Taylor Singh and the group show Animal Heart, will be officially opened by David Whitney and Karen Viggers on Thursday 6 April.

Specimens features oil paintings by Taylor Singh, investigating scientific research and specimens in contemporary and historical collections.

Taylor was the recipient of Tuggeranong Arts Centre’s 2016 Emerging Artist Support Scheme Award.

Animal Heart explores human and animal relationships with artwork questioning our treatment of animals.  Exhibiting artists include Caroline Ambrus, Dianna Budd, Shan Crosbie, John Gould, Janet Long, Rebecca Selleck, Kerry Shepherdson, Tanya Stollznow.

Exhibitions open Monday to Saturday until 29 April.
