Hughes Shops artwork consultation
artsACT is consulting the community about a new artwork at the Hughes shops.
In May 2016 the public artwork Stepping Out (Lady in Pearls) was stolen from the Hughes shops. An identical copy of the original artwork cannot be remade.
Therefore, we are consulting with the community for a replacement artwork at the Hughes Shops. We want to know what you love and value about Hughes and this feedback will inform the artist’s brief for the replacement artwork.
You can get involved by completing the online survey or coming to the face to face engagement stalls at the Hughes Shops.
The online survey is available on the Your Say website from 31 July to 11 September 2017.
Face to Face Engagement Stalls
artsACT will hold two face to face engagement at the Hughes shops on 22 August (2:00pm - 4:00pm) and on 26 August (10:00am - 12:00pm).
What will happen next?
Once the consultation has closed a summary report of the feedback will be posted on the artsACT website.
Updates on the details of the replacement artwork will be published on the artsACT website following development of the artist brief and approval of a concept design.
Your feedback is important to us – please let us know what you think!
