Urban Dance and Movement Project

When: 5pm Friday 7 May & 10am Saturday 8 May 2017
Where: Lake Tuggeranong Ampitheatre, Cowlishaw Street Greenway (next to Tuggeranong Library)
Cost: Free

Tuggeranong Art Centre's Fresh Funk urban dance program and KAGE Creative Director Gerard Van Dyke are giving young dancers the opportunity to explore new modes of spatial expression through a contemporary dance partnership.

In this exciting new collaboration, Gerard and Fresh Funk Artistic Director Caroline Wall will share their skills in a series of workshops to create a pop-up urban dance spectacular.

The project will explore life in urban spaces and how we connect/disconnect from certain urban spaces in our towns.

The often alienating spaces at our doorstep will themselves become part of a new dance work and a venue for the staging two public performances on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 May 2017.

Supported by artsACT.
