Future Directions for the ACT's Pathways for Youth Music

The Pathways for Youth Music Round Table process will provide advice to the ACT Government through artsACT on future directions for the ACT’s Pathways for Youth Music.

The ACT Government supports a number of music organisations in the ACT concerned with the provision of music education and cohesive pathways for young musicians in the Territory.  These organisations include those wholly dedicated to the provision of musical education for young people and other organisations with significant activities and interest.  Following the recent Loxton Review of the Arts in Canberra, the ACT Government has identified new priorities for the sector including a focus on young and emerging artists and on arts hubs.  A round table process has been initiated to clarify roles within the sector and to identify opportunities for cohesion with the aim of focusing activity and streamlining pathways for youth music in the ACT.

artsACT will hold a round table process for youth music pathways to investigate the options for the sector and to consider the delivery of youth music education in the ACT to provide advice to the ACT Government for its consideration.
