Project Funding

The Project Funding round is offered once a year and presents the ACT community with the opportunity to propose one-off arts activities.

  • ACT Disability, Aged and Carer Advocacy Service: $19,848 to assist with costs of producing digital stories by people with a disability
  • Art Monthly Australia Ltd: $10,000 to assist with costs of publishing the work of ACT-based arts writers/critics and artists
  • Asialink, University of Melbourne: $20,000 to assist with costs of Asialink Arts Residencies for ACT artists
  • Atfield, David: $39,500 to assist with costs of staging a theatre production at The Street Theatre 
  • Australian Book Review Inc: $12,000 to assist with costs of ACT writers creating new literary work
  • Batchelor, James: $16,500 to assist with costs of developing and presenting a dance performance

Program Funding

Program Organisation Funding is available to support arts organisations that provide a program of activity enabling the ACT community to have access to and engagement with the arts.

  • Australian National Capital Artists Inc: $40,000 in 2014 and 2015 to assist with costs of delivering the ANCA gallery program
  • Arts Sound FM: $67,000 for 2014 and 2015 to assist with costs of delivering arts programs at the station
  • Canberra City Band Inc: $21,500 in 2014 to assist with costs of delivering band music programs
  • Canberra International Film Festival Inc: $45,000 in 2014 and 2015 to assist with costs of staging the Canberra International Film Festival
  • M16 Artspace Inc: $70,000 in 2014 and $40,000 in 2015 to assist with costs of delivering the M16 gallery program
  • Pro Musica Inc: $77,000 in 2014 and 2015 to assist with costs of staging the Canberra International Music Festival
  • Strathnairn Arts Association Inc: $100,000 in 2014 and 2015 to assist with costs of managing the Strathnairn Arts Centre and deliver visual arts programs
  • You Are Here Inc: $60,000 in 2014 and 2015 to assist with costs of staging the You Are Here festival
Key Arts Organisation Funding

Key Arts Organisation Funding is available to support arts organisations that provide critical arts infrastructure in the ACT through high quality programs, services and/or facilities. Key Arts Organisations enrich and build capacity within the ACT community, enabling broad access to and engagement with the arts on an ongoing basis.

  • Canberra Potters’ Society Inc: $100,000 in 2014 to assist with costs of managing the Watson Arts Centre and deliver ceramic programs
  • Canberra Youth Music Inc and Music for Everyone Inc: $250,000 in 2014 to assist with costs of delivering music programs at the Ainslie Arts Centre
  • QL2 Dance Inc: $300,000 per year for 2014 to 2018 to assist with costs of delivering youth dance programs
Llewellyn Hall Funding
  • The Llewellyn Choir Inc: $7,178.00 to present a concert at Llewellyn Hall.
  • Musica Viva Australia: $18,279 to present a series of concerts at Llewellyn Hall.
  • Austrian Choir Canberra: $6,582 to present the 2014 Sängerfest Gala concert at Llewellyn Hall.
  • Pro Musica Inc: $5,134.50 to present the Fire and the Rose concert at Llewellyn Hall as part of the Canberra International Music Festival
  • Australian National Eisteddfod Inc: $34,850 to present the annual eisteddfod at Llewellyn Hall
  • Canberra Youth Music Inc: $17,583 to present a series of Canberra Youth Orchestra concerts at Llewellyn Hall
Out of Round Funding

Out of Round Funding supports individual ACT artists to undertake significant interstate or overseas arts opportunities that are unexpected and could not reasonably have been planned for in advance.

  • Ms Kirstie Rea: $1,500 to assist with costs of attending a Glass Artists Symposium in Scotland.
  • Dr Elizabeth Coats: $2,000 to assist with costs of attending an Artist Workshop, Winsor & Newton, London.
  • Ms Irma Gold: $505 to attend a one-day course on creating and publishing children's picture books.
  • Ms Tracey Sarsfield: $2,000 to assist with costs of participating in the Biennial of Contemporary Art, Argentina.
  • Ms Elizabeth Cameron Dalman: $1,000 to assist with costs of presenting work in showcase performances during the World Dance Alliance Global Summit in France.
  • Ms Emma Beer: $2,000 to assist with costs of freighting work to an exhibition in London.
  • Ms Eleanor Malbon: $1,000 to assist with costs of attending a creative writing short course.
  • Mr Nicholas McConaghy: $2,000 to assist with costs of attending the Atlantic Centre for the Arts' Master Artist In-Residence Program.
  • Mr Paul Bissett: $2,000 to assist with costs of attending the Stowe Story Lab - a three-day intensive workshop for emerging screenwriters, filmmakers and creative producers in Vermont, USA.
  • Dr Judith Crispin: $1,600 to assist with costs of exhibiting work at an international festival in China and to participate as a panellist and speaker.
  • Ms Barbara Smith: $1,350 to assist with costs of attending 'A Conversation with Writers with Peter Bishop', at Varuna Writers House.
  • Miss Emma Kelly: $1,747 to assist with costs of participating in the 11th NYC Musical Saw Festival.
  • Ms Julie Ryder: $2,000 to assist with costs of attending & presenting at 'Cultural Threads' symposium in London.
