Belconnen Arts Centre Stage Two

The first stage of the Belconnen Arts Centre officially opened in 2009. The ACT Government allocated $300,000 in 2012-13 for the feasibility and forward design for the construction of Stage 2 at the Belconnen Arts Centre.

Minister for the Arts, Joy Burch MLA, announced in August 2013 that Canberra-based firm Cox Architecture has been chosen to prepare designs for the second stage of the Belconnen Arts Centre development. The second stage of the project will include an adaptable performance space that could include seating for up to 200-400 people, workshop spaces, a cafe and community kitchen and outdoor performance space.
