19 Furneaux Street Canberra Contemporary Art Space Manuka (CCAS Manuka) is a small project gallery that provides opportunities for emerging and established artists and curators to stage experimental exhibitions. CCAS Manuka was purpose-built to replace the Bitumen River Gallery which was demolished to make way for redevelopment in 1995. CCAS Manuka is managed by CCAS whose main office and gallery is located at Gorman House Arts Centre (Tel: 6247 0188). CCAS Manuka is located adjacent to Manuka shopping centre on Furneaux Street, Manuka. The gallery enjoys busy pedestrian traffic which provides opportunities to expose new audiences to contemporary visual art.
