A request for proposal is now open to engage the services of an organisation based in the ACT or surrounding region to recruit and host a suitably qualified community arts officer to develop and deliver community arts activities and events in Woden and Gungahlin based on a community arts and cultural development model. These activities and events will provide collaborative opportunities for an artistically active and connected community to celebrate and promote locally-created arts and culture over a three year period from 2019 to 2021. This initiative was announced as part of a new funding package for the arts in Canberra in the 2017-18 Budget. Priority consideration will be given to an organisation with strong connections in the Gungahlin and Woden communities, with a demonstrated high level of understanding and commitment to inclusive workplace and community engagement practices.
The available budget for the program is $270,000 per year for the three years.
The program will align to the Government’s Community Arts and Cultural Development guidelines.
Applications close 27 September 2018 via the Tenders ACT website
