Ainslie Arts Centre


Ainslie Arts Centre provides rehearsal, tuition and performance space for community and youth music. It is used by various community music organisations, musical groups, and individuals. Spaces are also available for other arts purposes on occasion.

Main Hall

The largest performance venue at the Ainslie Arts Centre accommodates up to 140 people. It includes a separate artist green room and dressing room.

Function Room

Located adjacent to the Main Hall, the Function Room is ideal for small gatherings. It can also be hired alongside the Main Hall as an entry space for events. A bar and servery are available at an additional cost. Note: There is no on-site café or catering service.

Classrooms

Eight classrooms are available, ranging from small rooms suitable for one-on-one sessions to larger spaces designed for group classes, meetings, or workshops.

Coworking Spaces

Supported office accommodation is provided for organisations and individuals wishing to work within and contribute to Ainslie Arts Centre’s vibrant, collaborative creative hubs.

Ainslie Arts Centre and Gorman Arts Centre are managed by Arts Capital Limited, a not-for-profit public company limited by guarantee, operating under a head licence from the ACT Government. Arts Capital provides services to resident artists and arts organisations and promotes activities at both centres.

Ainslie Arts Centre is located in Braddon, close to Gorman Arts Centre, Ainslie Primary School, and the Lonsdale Street precinct. It occupies a heritage-listed building that was originally the Ainslie Public School (circa 1927) and was adapted for arts use in 2001.
