Ainslie Arts Centre provides rehearsal, tuition and performance space for community and youth music. The Centre is used by a range of community music organisations as well as musical groups and individuals. Spaces are also let for other arts purposes on occasion. Main Hall The largest performance venue, with room for 140 people and a separate artist green room and dressing room. Function Room Next to the Ainslie Main Hall, the function room is perfect for small gatherings. It can also be hired along with the main hall as an entry space for events. It has a bar / servery, available at an additional cost, noting there is no on-site café or catering. Classrooms Eight classrooms are available. From small one-on-one rooms to larger rooms suitable for group classes, meetings or workshops. Rehearsal Pods Three individual, sound-treated rehearsal pods available for hire. These small spaces are perfect for one-on-one music tuition or individual rehearsals. Coworking Spaces Supported office accommodation for organisations and individuals who wish to work in and contribute to our vibrant and collaborative creative hubs. Ainslie Art Centre and Gorman Arts Centres are managed by a not for profit public company limited by guarantee, Arts Capital Limited, under head licence from the ACT Government. Arts Capital provides services to resident artists and arts organisations and promotes the activities of the centres. Ainslie Arts Centre is located in Braddon, a short distance from Gorman Arts Centre, Ainslie Primary School and Campbell High School. The Centre is sited in a heritage-listed building adapted from its former use as the Ainslie Public School (circa 1927). The Centre was adapted for arts use in 2001.
