Platform is a small project gallery that provides opportunities for emerging and established artists and curators to stage experimental exhibitions. Platform was purpose-built to replace the Bitumen River Gallery which was demolished to make way for redevelopment in 1995. Platform is managed by Canberra Contemporary, whose main office and gallery is located at 44 Queen Elizabeth Terrace, Parkes ACT 2600. Platform is located adjacent to the Manuka Shopping Centre on Furneaux Street, Forrest. The gallery enjoys busy pedestrian traffic which provides opportunities to expose new audiences to contemporary visual art. |
